I used to run a muffler delete which sounded rowdy and cool when revving but when accelerating it sounded unrefined and choppy. This muffler acts a lot like a resonator (looks like one too) and worked great at smoothening out there sound so it has a nice rich tone. Idle and cold starts are much quieter than expected (used to sound very choppy and loud at old) I mounted it near the end of the exhaust for anyone wondering. Overall I’m very happy with it.
This is on a Volvo 2.4L non turbo 5 cylinder. I run stock catalytic converter and resonator but cut the original muffler off the back and now run this sport muffler in there and love it.
